I welcome questions about my practice. I offer a 30 minute complimentary consult in person, or by telephone, or on Zoom/Skype/Facetime.
Initial Consult
We can start working together formally at any point during the high school years. I like to begin with a 2½ hour in-depth meeting, typically with parents and student. (Read more about this initial consultation.) This will provide an initial assessment of the student's academic and non-academic profile and the family's broader goals for the college planning process. We'll cover important aspects of college planning and the admissions process. Your initial questions can be addressed, and you can determine if you'd like to continue working together. To continue, I offer two options:
IvyMaven College Package (comprehensive advising)
Designed for families who want thorough assistance throughout the college planning process, as well as for those applying to multiple highly selective schools. This might well include:
- curriculum review
- extracurricular and summer planning
- standardized testing strategies
- guidance for college research, visit planning, and final list construction
- data-based aptitude and interest assessment, with career planning guidance
- essay topic brainstorming, editing, and multiple revisions as needed for all essays

- strategic guidance for Early Decision/Early Application and other application schedules
- merit aid counseling and scholarship applications/essays
- complete application review with attention to details and overall message

Hourly rate
This can be used for circumscribed consultation related to any aspect of educational planning: evaluation of college list, application review, high school choices, transfer, graduate school, "early" planning. The hourly rate is offered for those who want very targeted assistance.
Time permitting, I offer hourly consultations for seniors whose needs are limited: perfect for those needing quick help with just one or two parts of their college applications. Expert assessment of your college list? Suggestions for polishing your application? A second opinion? etc. etc. etc...
